What a delightful find. This property is nestled next to Fitzgerald River National Park. What a shame that winter came to visit as well.

The property is privately run and provides showers and amenities to 6-10 sites, but no water or power. Around the grounds are wild kangaroos. They also have accommodation, so it can be visited without towing.

We have camped here 2 nights, so one day of looking around.  Today we went out to Point Anne (the start of the 2nd Rabbit Proof Fence) and walked around.  The bonus privilege was watching a mother and calf humpback whale cruise slowly through the bay. The wind was gentle, but constant all the time and it didn't get very warm (14-16 before wind chill was applied). All the plants are very low, so this is presumably a pretty normal state of affairs. Prostrate EucalyptGiven we brought clothes for Karijini we were looking for every scrap of wind protection to keep us warm.

Late in the day we did the Nature trail at Quaalup.  This time of year here is magic, most things are in flower. Most are quite delicate.

Later this week it looks like winter arrives in force while we are at Cape Le Grand NP. We might chicken out and try to avoid 20mm of rain and start our trip home a day early.
