We walked around the Hammersley Range View walk at the back of the camp site. Again it was hot so we went out early and were glad to do an easy walk. On the way back we missed the track back to the Retreat so ended up beating 50m or so across/ around spinifex clumps.
Then back to the Visitor Centre to finish off a visit there (and round it out with ice-cream). Gail enjoyed being able to 'be the adult' and have a Cornetto without guilt. Then back for a quiet afternoon supervising solar panels. I think we are getting the hang of this. It is helped by cooking chicken on the BBQ so that doesn't hammer the battery. Then a shower after sundown and we are done for the day.
Except: Brian managed to fall over in a patch of spinifex on his evening trip to the toilet. So an hour of picking out tiny 'splinters' and we called it a day. Don't think I'll be wearing that shirt tomorrow as it probably has remnant splinters in it.
