A short 3 hour drive. With coffee in hand from the kiosk we left at 9:10 am.
Today we crossed the 26th parallel and left the "North West". We noticed that it is greener and wetter down here. There are fields of Wild Flowers - this must be what everyone is thinking about when they talk about wild flowers everywhere. The rivers have water in them (The Murchison at least) All indications are that it was pretty wet here a month ago.
Kalbarri feels a bit familiar as we were here 12 months ago. We nipped into town after dropping the trailer for lunch at the cafe where we bought coffee last year. Murchison House Station had signs up saying it was fully booked, so glad I sorted my dates out and booked the right ones.
Here I am all set up. THe flies both here and at Wooramel are thick and annoying, hence the fly screen. We noticed that at Wooramel even the horses were kitted out with fly nets.
