Today we arrived nice and early at Moodini Road Side reserve. 1.5hr time zone extension helped. Even had dinner in the light, although dessert was a bit by candle light.
At WA border we had a bonus RBT and licence check as well as the planned Quarantine. They were happy with carrots, but not spinach leaves. So they were dumped. Also found that the Anderson plug connecting the trailer hadn’t been inserted properly this morning so it had fallen out, the case shattered and the pins bearing marks of being dragged on the ground. It mustn’t have happened too early in the day as the battery was largely charged. Cannibalised a spared plug for the shell and reinstated it.
From 11am had strong headwinds. This was predicted, so we got out of camp by 8:15am. This evening it has settled and hopefully will stay that way over night. We refuelled at Yalata. Petrol Spy indicated that is the cheapest place between Ceduna and Norseman. Whit the large tank we might make it all the way to Norseman ( if there are friendly winds).
Along the way we stopped at the Bight for a quick look. If we can find a sheltered spot or wind isn't forecast we would love to spend more time here on the way home.
Starlink is wonderful, although scratchy Telstra would have done. Caught the evening sun light to add a littlebit of solar power to make up for what we missed due to the Anderson Plug falling off.
