An early start, thanks in part to yesterday's experience of the wind (which wasn't predicted for today) time zone change (a 6am start should feel like 8am at home) and the prospect of landing in a caravan park nice and early doing not a lot.
Today we booked a 90,000 service for the car at Rockingham Toyota for when we get to Mandurah (thanks David for the guidance) and spoke to a solar bloke who has put in a proposal to install solar at church. The wonder of modern technology.
The wonder of a credit card is that we can keep stuffing fuel in the beast! $100 at Balladonia seemed like good value as anywhere else wanted $2.35+ per litre, this was only $1.93.
So we have happily sat in the sun this afternoon and enjoyed WA warmth. It is just cooling down now at 6pm. We are both in shorts, but probably need a top on now. A small change of plans: we will now do a night in another caravan park in Kalgoorlie (so only 2 hours driving tomorrow). Tomorrow was looking like a big day with 6 hours travel to Leinster and a stop in Kal to shop/top up. Now it will be 2 hours today and 4 on Friday. So no day of doing nothing, but really Leinster wasn't that appealing anyway. So we won't miss having a 'down day' there.
So far I have had 2 attempts at putting up the awning. On Tuesday in the wind on the Bight and then today. I need some more practice and skill at doing this!
We are constantly amazed at the size of the 'rigs' that people pull around the country.
