One of the activities at Canarvon was a 'ride' in a model of Apollo 11 space capsule. We had 5 minutes lying in this with a bit of rumble. The original astronauts had 3 days lying here before they could unclip and tumble around weightless, for the first 10? minutes they were being crushed into the back rest by the acceleration of the rocket taking off. That must have been a long 3 days.
A short 3 hour drive. With coffee in hand from the kiosk we left at 9:10 am.
Today we went to the Moon - well sort of: Carnarvon has a space history museum celebrating the station’s contribution to the Apollo missions in the ‘60s
A lovely day, the wind had eased so kayaking would be very flat and we resisted the option to go to Exmouth Anglican.
